Dev Notes:

Honestly, I am pretty happy with this submission. This is the most fleshed out I've had the idea + gameplay set-up for a game.

As usual, scope creep got the best of me (I had quite a few ideas for the bosses - maybe for a future update... but after I finish the other half-finished jam games lol)

As usual, a big thanks to Ismtud, who is able to crank out these bangers in his sleep. Always great to hear a new tracks/ album from him!

Anyways, hope you enjoy the game and I would love to hear feedback on what to improve and possibly add to a future update!

I didn't dodge any projectile at any point in the game. The projectiles came too fast and the responsiveness of the player wasn't high. Instead I just went as near as I could to the boss and the heart and spammed LMB as fast as I could, which was all that was required. Sound didn't work on firefox which I was on, I went on chrome and the music seemed nice, better than mine atleast lol.
The art was so good I thought it came off some pack smh, its really great.

I would improve:

Player responsiveness so dodging actually can be done (both movement and grappling. You could also lower projectile speed.

Player health? I didn't see a bar.

Sidenote: I got the game completely wrong, you were supposed to swing on the hand thingies to deal damage but I just shot with the yo yo.

The game is still incomplete, unfortunately I didn't get around to adding player health/ defeat conditions. In the updated version, you may need to focus more on dodging! :P

Was trying to figure out a bunch of issues with the core game mechanic, which took up way more time than I wanted it to lol (Grapple/ velocity math was more complicated than I originally anticipated)

Interesting, I'll have to see why the sound effects/ music doesn't work in Firefox.

Glad you liked the music! The musician is very talented and always does a great job! :D

And glad you like the art! That is my favorite part of game development (Now I just need to develop that love for coding lol)

Hm... I could increase the speed of the character, increase the gravity of him a bit more and maybe tweak some of the grappling logic. I kind of skipped testing player balance due to time but I'll go back and make some changes.

Player health will be pretty easy to add in. ;P

Ah, glad you caught on to the spinning combo mechanic! (I wanted to have a tutorial to teach the player, but I'll have to add it in a future update.)

Thanks for playing and giving feedback! (This has been helpful and I've made a few notes on what to focus on for the update.)
